Customer and Project Information
Carricare is a UK-based service that aims to efficiently link couriers with customers who are expecting their orders to be delivered under ideal circumstances and at the specified time. This platform allows delivery couriers to receive real-time notifications, which helps clients with last-minute delivery notifications and helps them better manage their time. As a result, it seeks to address a core issue with courier delivery: the fact that packages aren’t secure if delivered at the wrong time and left at the door, or when the courier isn’t given enough room to manoeuvre. The service streamlines and improves the delivery process for both the courier and the addressee by automating various user scenarios.
The team at Tubik was tasked with creating a powerful brand identity that not only communicates the company’s values but also makes it easy to recognise and approachable to consumers. In order to ensure that the mobile app was consistent with the branding, we also focused on creating a solid user experience. The Tubik side’s creative team for this project consisted of Roma Chornyi, Anton Morozov, Yaroslava Yatsuba, Kirill Erokhin, Marina Yalanska, and Anastasia Iliashevych, in addition to Ernest Asanov and Olya Zakharyan.
Establishing Recognition
Information absorption, dissemination, and analysis constituted the first phase of brand design. Before beginning work on the brand’s visual identity, we dove headfirst into conversations regarding the client’s aspirations, values, and brand strategy, as well as market research to establish a firm foundation.
Two important features valued by the service’s target audience were the ease with which addressees could receive their packages and the security of the delivery process for all parties involved. Carricare was born from this union of two important ideas: carry and care. The slogan, “we carry and we care about your parcel, your time, and your convenience,” continues this theme.
The graphic designer’s research led her to the subject of visual components that bolster the delivery process in the UK, spanning its history to the present day. The overall strategy for the branding was inspired by the mood board, which consisted of various stamps and icons conveying important messages such as the fragility of the package or the need to keep it dry. The goal was to incorporate these well-known meanings while also creating new ones.
The selection of brand colours was another critical factor. Here, the brand makes use of a striking colour scheme that is firmly rooted in the essence of the service: the main colours are blue and red, which are echoes of the UK flag, and an additional colour is cardboard, which is immediately associated with shipping boxes and packaging.
Internet advertising
We have also developed a set of design templates and ideas for advertising and social media posting that would consistently reflect the identity, with the goal of strengthening online marketing and amplifying brand recognizability.
Customer Experience Design
Two types of users were considered while developing the mobile app: couriers and recipients. The app’s foundation was an effort to enhance the delivery process; its primary function was to facilitate the successful delivery of packages even in the absence of the intended recipient. It provided multiple delivery flow scenarios. The receiver receives a notification when an authorised courier scans the QR code; they can then decide whether to receive the package at their door, return it to the depot, have a neighbour take it, or request that the courier leave it somewhere safe.
Designed in the finest tradition of mobile app user interfaces, this one is simple yet incredibly functional, with a light and airy background, readable typography, and bright colour accents that make the app easy to use on the go and for users of all ages. Personal illustrations not only strengthen the messages, but they also improve the interface’s visual appeal, evoke positive emotions, and maintain cohesion with other branded items.
Logo Creation
Another important consideration was the design of the app icon, which should be both visually appealing and easy to use on digital devices. The icon should also complement the overall brand style of the service.
While working on the Carricare project, our team gained valuable experience in bridging the gap between the digital and physical realms through the use of elegant and practical design.
