The 10 Best Quests In Baldur’s Gate 3

The best quests in Baldur’s Gate 3 give this exciting RPG more depth. Here’s how to finish all of them.

The third Baldur’s Gate game is different from the first two in a number of ways. The main change is that battles now take place in turns. Still, there are a lot of similarities between the games that make them feel familiar to series fans. In both games, not every quest gives the same benefits and not every quest is easy for the party to get.

For many quests, the rewards are much greater than the work needed to finish them. A lot of goals are hidden behind event triggers that, looking back, don’t make sense. Like in the previous games, you can easily fail some tasks by doing something that has nothing to do with them, like talking to NPCs or doing quests in a different order than what the game says you should. These quests are the best that Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer for players who want to get the most out of their adventures.

Finish The Masterwork Weapon

Crafting a Masterwork Greatsword in Baldur's Gate 3

The party can find a book hidden in a barrel in a house near the windmill in the Blighted Village. After reading this log, you will start the quest “Finish the Masterwork Weapon.” Get the Old Key from the area near the furnace, and then burn the spider webs in the next room. Open the chest in the underground room to find the plans.

Get the things you need and go back to the house where the book was found. The player can then put the pieces together to make a sickle, a knife, or a greatsword. No matter what weapon the player picks, it will have an enchantment that gives it +1 power and the ability to stop enemies.

Save Arabella (And Then Locate Her Parents)

Baldur's Gate 3 Arabella

The Druid Grove is where this quest starts. A druid named Kagha is deciding what will happen to a young tiefling named Arabella who has been charged with theft. For this quest line to move forward, you need to save Arabella’s life. The party will meet her later at the graveyard near Reithwin after they have saved Arabella, which takes a high Nature or Persuasion skill.

Arabella will ask you to find her parents at the second meeting. They are at a Healing House in the Shadow-Cursed lands. Tell Arabella what happened to her parents when you get back to her. Arabella’s Shadow Entangle is the spell she will give the player. Save Arabella from Kagha before you save Haslin in the Goblin Camp.

Search The Cellar

This quest starts after reading the log and can be found in the Blighted Village (Apothecary’s Cellar). The group needs to find a book called “The Necromancy of Thay.” The player can do a few different things with this book after getting it.

The person can give Astarion or Gale the book. The person can also choose to read the book. But you need the Dark Amethyst item, which is lying on the ground in Whispering Depths. The Speak With Dead spell can be used once every long rest after the player has turned three pages, which takes a Wisdom check. They can also use Forbidden Knowledge, which makes Wise saves and ability checks stronger by 1.

Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite

Baldur's Gate 3 Blurg And Omeluum

This is a side quest for Baldur’s Gate 3‘s main quest, “Find a Cure.” Blurg is a hobgoblin that you can talk to. He is in the Ebonlake in the Underdark. Blurg will connect the player with a friend who is ready to look at the illithid tadpole and maybe get rid of it.

This is mostly a fetch quest that takes the party to and from another part of the Underdark. At the end of the quest, the player can do more fetch tasks to get a magic ring that will stop the tadpole from affecting the main character. The player can also scare Blurg’s friend away from the ring. This is a Ring of Mind Shielding, and it helps protect against charm and mind-affecting state ailments.

The Adamantine Forge

The Adamantine Forge in Baldur's Gate 3

There are several ways to start this quest. You can find The Great Furnace of Grymforge on the body of a dead drow in Ebonlake Grotto (in a hidden area). This might be the best way to learn about it. The next thing to do is to go to the Underdark place called Grymforge.

To get to the Adamantine Forge, at least one player needs to be able to jump far. On the other hand, the Misty Step spell makes it easier to get to the forge. On your way to the forge, get the molds and mithral rock. When the party beats a boss, they can turn the mithral into a weapon or outfit.

Find the Blood of Lathander

Obtaining the Blood of Lathander mace in Baldur's Gate 3

The Rosymorn Monastery is where this story starts. First, read a note that a fan of Lathander left that talks about “The Blood.” Find the monastery room with a stained-glass window on the floor and four stone pedestals. One of the pedestals has a sword on it. The group needs to get the last three guns. All of them are in the area.

The group will also need to find the Dawnmaster’s Crest, but they don’t need it to get the Blood of Lathander. After moving some figures around to find a hidden door and avoiding a number of traps, the group will reach a very complicated room. The mace called the Blood of Lathander is one of the best weapons in Slope Game. Put the crest into the alter to get it.

Acquire the Gauntlets for Helsik

Finding Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength in Baldur's Gate 3

Talking to Helsik in Devil’s Fee is the first step in this Act 3 quest. That person will help the player open a door to the House of Hope, but they need to find the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength first. You can find this thing on a platform. The group can either give them back to Helsik or break their deal with her and keep the gauntlets.

There’s another reason why this quest is important. There’s a vault in the House of Hope that holds some very strong things, like the Helldusk Helmet. This item keeps the person who wears it from going blind and lets them see in magical darkness. When this hat is worn with the Darkness spell, it makes most fights very easy.

The Githyanki Warrior

Baldur's Gate 3, Githyanki Creche, Zaith'isk, Ghustil

If you were on the Nautiloid with the main character at the beginning of the game, Lae’zel was with you. This is her companion task. You must go to the Mountain Pass area and have Lae’zel in your party in order to start this quest. The group will soon meet a group of githyanki after passing the broken bridge.

After this quest, you can do a few other tasks later in the game. When you finish this quest, Lae’zel will be ready for romance. If the player has Lae’zel with them, they should finish this quest in Act 1.

The Blade Of Frontiers

Mizora the cambion in Baldur's Gate 3

This quest can be reached by recruiting Wyll, which can be done in Druid’s Grove. The goblin camp quest line and further are linked by this task. It’s possible to finish this quest by saving Mizora, Wyll’s patronal enemy. Karlach has to be killed in order to get the best loot.

Now that this quest is over, Mizora will give the player an Infernal Robe after the first long rest. This gives you +2 AC, resistance to fire, and the power to cast Flame Shield (Warm). You can also talk Mizaora into giving up the Infernal sword. This +2 sword uses the spellcaster’s Spellcasting Ability Modifier instead of Strength or Dexterity.

Steal The Sacred Idol

The Sacred Idol of Silvanus in Baldur's Gate 3

You can get this quest from Mol, a child tiefling in Druid’s Grove’s Tiefling Hideout area. This quest will start when you talk to Mol after you finish the “Investigate the Beach” quest. The quest’s goal is pretty easy: steal a druid’s holy idol and give it back to Mol.

It is possible to steal this figure, but not until the Kagha quest line is ending. The idol is the Idol of Silvanus, and you can buy it from Mol after giving it back to her. A party member can keep the idol in their inventory, and it will teach the owner and all friends within eight feet how to handle nature and animals. The group also gets a Ring of Protection +1 as a prize.
